Work experience programme - Pre-work programme for 500 unemployed persons in the Regional Unit of Thessaly 

OBJECTIVE

Aim of the programme is to enable 500 unemployed persons to gain work experience and to strengthen their access to the labour market, for a period of 7 months, in actions that protect the environment in areas affected by the consequences of the climate change.

BENEFICIARIES

The programme is addressed to Civil Non-Profit Companies (C.N.P.C)) and voluntary Non- Governmental Organisations (NGOs) that have Special Certification for Non-Profit Private Social Care Service Providers from the National Centre of Social Solidarity (EKKA) of the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family Affairs(https://www.ekka.org.gr/index.php/el/me-endiaferei-i-pistopoiisi), are active in the Regional Unit of Thessaly and are about to implement actions regarding the protection of the environment in areas affected by the consequences of the climate change and natural disasters. In order for a business to participate, it should not have reduced its staff over the 1-month period prior to the application.

BENEFICIARIES

500 unemployed persons aged 18 - 30, registered with DYPA's Digital Register in the Regional Unit of Thessaly, graduates of at least compulsory education.

DURATION AND COMPENSATION

Pre-work lasts 8 hours per day, 5 days per week, between Monday and Saturday, for a period of 7 months. DYPA will pay beneficiaries a monthly remuneration equal to the legal minimum wage as well as proportion of the Easter, Christmas and holiday bonuses. Beneficiaries will have full healthcare coverage through e-EFKA insurance.

and define the number of jobs, the specialities and the necessary qualifications.

  • DYPA will evaluate the application according to specific criteria and notify the CNPC/ NGO of its decision;
  • DYPA's employment counsellors will refer to the CNPC/ NGO suitable candidates.
  • The C.N.P.C/ NGO chooses between the candidates and both parties sign a contract.
