Business initiative subsidy programme for 3.000 young entrepreneurs aged 18 - 29 with particular emphasis on the digital economy

OBJECTIVE

To promote entrepreneurship and to enhance Greece's digital economy by supporting unemployed persons aged 18-29 to create 3.000 new and sustainable businesses.

BENEFICIARIES

Unemployed persons, registered with DYPA who when applying:

• Are aged up to 29
• Have agreed upon an Individual Action Plan
• Are Greek citizens or citizens of another EU member state or expatriates with the right to stay and work in Greece or third country citizens with a valid residence permit for at least the duration of the programme.
• Have completed their military service or have been legally discharged (for male applicants).

DURATION AND SUBSIDY AMOUNTS

The programme lasts 12 months and the amount of support for new businesses amounts to 14.800 euros, paid in three instalments as follows:

• 1st instalment amounting to 4.000 Euros, after the start date of the business activity at DOY (public finance department)
• 2nd instalment amounting to 5.400 Euros after the end of the 1st semester from the start date
• 3rd instalment amounting to 5.400 Euros after the end of the 2nd semester from the start date
