The new DYPA targeted employment action has already enabled the creation of more than 750 new jobs in Thessaly

 

751 unemployed persons have already been hired in new jobs created via the new DYPA employment subsidy programme in Thessaly. The programme was launched on January 30th and businesses continue to apply at a very fast pace.

Furthermore, 796 unemployed persons have already applied for the Entrepreneur subsidy programme. This programme is expected to close soon and a total of 1.000 new businesses will receive funding.

It is noted that recently the following 3 new DYPA targeted employment actions were launched in the Regional Unit of Thessaly with a total budget of €109 million for 6.500 unemployed persons:

  • Job Creation programme for 5.000 new full-time jobs: The programme is addressed to unemployed persons of all ages and to all businesses active in the Regional Unit of Thessaly. The subsidy covers up to 75% of the wage and the social insurance contributions (up to the amount of €1.250 per month) for a period of up to 18 months. The total action budget amounts to €90 m.
  • Job Creation programme for 1.000 new businesses: Aim of the programme is to enable 1.000 unemployed persons of all ages to start their own business with a total budget of €14.800 per business for 12 months. The total action budget amounts to €14,8 m.
  • Work experience programme for 500 young unemployed persons in actions addressing the consequences of the climate change: The programme aims to help 500 unemployed persons aged 18-30 to gain work experience in actions addressing the impact of climate change and protecting the environment. The total action budget amounts to €4,2 m.
